Fabrizio Corona e Lele Mora: Quando il sentimento trionfa

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Plagiarism

Wikipedia on Plagiarism: "Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as 'the wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions, and the representation of them as one's own original work.'"

From plagiarism.org:
According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means

• to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
• to use (another's production) without crediting the source
• to commit literary theft
• to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.

In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward.

Is this plagiarism?

"By MckMama"

Did you know that MckMama is a photographer? She has her own business website and everything, where she posts pictures of people not related to her.

What do you think MckMama would do if some blogger took a picture she had taken through her business and posted it on their blog, giving her no credit anywhere?

Then why would she use a picture another photographer (who has their own business website and facebook page) had taken of Matthew, post it on her blog, give no credit anywhere in the post or in her comments?

Thank you to Regina for the heads up on this.

LLF donations

I received an email from a representative of the Liz Logelin Foundation asking me to pass on a few notes to the readers here.

Most importantly, LLF contributers donated over $2,500 to Marc and Matthew in just a few short days. That money, along with a contribution from LLF, will be sent to Marc this week. Amazing. They thank those of you here who donated, and so do I.

Many people contacted LLF about Marc and Matthew last week and the organization wanted to move quickly to set up a more legitimate source for donors who wanted to contribute. She assures me that all money donated through LLF went to this family.

LLF is aware of the reputation MckMama has and had concerns associating with her, but they decided to put this family first and work to reach as many donors as possible with legitimate donation methods.

They do not plan to partner with MckMama in the future, and any claims of a partnership with MckMama going forward or in the past are not accurate.

For those unfamiliar with LLF, this is from the site's About page:
The Liz Logelin Foundation was established to assist families who find themselves in the heartbreaking, catastrophic situation of having lost a spouse, life-partner, and parent.  The Foundation’s goal is to financially assist these families as they deal with the loss of their loved ones, and struggle to move forward. The Foundation was established in 2009 by Matthew Logelin, who lost his wife Elizabeth in 2008.

Please Click here if you would like to donate to Marc and Matthew, or to the Liz Logelin Foundation.

The One Where We Learn a Lesson on buying on Craigslist

Exhibit A - A Craigslist ad selling the Mcks' blue Aveo:

Please note the underlined text.

Exhibit B - A MckMama post on when and why they bought the car. Also, comments on the reliability of the car:

Exhibit C - More MckMama post comments on the reliability of the blue Aveo:

This might be a bit rhetorical, but how can a car a person buys used have only one owner? And what's your definition of "reliable"?

If you are looking to donate to this tiny baby and his father, please consider donating financially through the proper channels so they can buy milkbank milk that has been tested for things like HIV, TB, venereal diseases, Mad Cow disease, hepatitis, nicotine, insulin and alcohol before being donated.

Mankato family seeks breastmilk for newborn after mother dies

**UPDATE**
A local news station has decided to cover the story of Baby M and MckMama on the news tonight. From MckMama's kitchen. No, really.
